Getting Around

How do I get to The Gili Islands?

There are 3 main ways to get to The Gili Islands, you can get the fast boat from Bali to any of the Gili Islands, alternatively you can fly into Lombok where we can provide a car and a boat transfer from north Lombok over to the Gili Islands. If you are re feeling frivolous, you can take a helicopter from Bali to the Helipad located on Gili Trawangan.

How do I book my transport to The Gili Islands?

There are many fast-boats from Bali to the Gili Islands departing from Serangan and Padang Bai. Let us take the hassle out of the process and book your transfer with one of our trusted fast boat partners. Please see our logistics page to book.

How do I get to my resort when I arrive on The Gili Islands?

If you choose to get one of the fast boats from Bali to the Gili Islands or the locally run boat from Lombok, you will arrive at the main harbour area (in either Gili Trawangan or Gili Air) everything is a short walk however, we arrange for one of our Scallywags team to meet you at the harbour and arrange a Cimodo, one of the horse drawn carts which is how most things are transported around these beautiful islands, to bring you and your luggage to the resort. Please see our logistics page to book.

Can you pick me up from the airport?

We can arrange a private car to pick you up from the airport in Bali, Lombok and Komodo. Please see our logistics page to book your airport transfer.

Can I hire a car on the Gili Islands?

Put simply, no! The Gili islands do not allow motorised vehicles on the island (except one truck and one motorcycle for garbage pick-ups around the islands). We can get you set up with one of our trusty retro bicycles to get you round if exploring is what you would like to do. Please see our activities for more information.
